Types of braces
Metal braces
Metal braces are the most common type of fixed appliances used by orthodontists because they are robust and very effective. Unlike earlier traditional braces, the newer metal brackets are less noticeable because they are smaller. If you’d like to decorate them, colourful ties can be used and changed at every appointment if you wish.
Clarity Braces
Clarity Ceramic Braces are the most commonly used ceramic braces worldwide. They work just as well as other braces, but are much less noticeable because the brackets are transparent. No matter what you drink or eat, Clarity Braces don’t stain so they always stay pretty undetectable.
Invisalign
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your orthodontist plans. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete.
Incognito
The Incognito system is fully customized from brackets to archwires and delivers predictable and effective treatment outcomes. Contrary to conventional braces, these are totally invisible as Incognito Braces attach to the back (lingual) side of your teeth. Each bracket is produced individually for you, so you are wearing truly customized appliances.
